Workstation Assessments

Whether you have a staff member with an existing injury or who is suffering pain and discomfort or you want to take preventative measures to keep your staff pain free – we can organise the right assessment for you. Our providers work with your staff to ensure they are not only comfortable and sitting ergonomically correctly but are happy with the set up of their work station. Assessments cover:

  • Comprehensive – Full assessment of a staff’s workplace where there is an existing injury
  • Simple – Brief workplace assessment for staff experiencing mild pain and discomfort symptoms
  • Preventative – Initial set up of new staff or those who have never had an assessment
  • Follow up – a return visit or phone call to ensure the staff member remains pain free and are happy and confident with adjustments made

NZProvide can also offer training to employees on carrying out their own simple workstation assessments. For more information on these training sessions see Training.

Graduated Return to Work Plan

We understand the importance of encouraging and assisting your injured employees on their path back to full time work. Research shows that an employee who is off work for 20 days, the chance of them returning to their full time position is only 70%. Through our experienced network, we can develop and carry out individual return to work plans for your staff – helping the employee to be back to their full earning potential and the employer to have their staff back to full productivity as soon as possible. Our return to work plans include:

  • Initial interview with the employee and their employer so an individual plan can be developed
  • Monitoring of the plan to allow the employee to build up hours per day and eventually reach a full time work status

Functional Capacity Evaluation

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) identifies those employees at risk of musculoskeletal injury in carrying out day to day tasks. A FCE is designed specific to the roles within the organisation, utilising a Job Demands Analysis of the roles. The FCE can be used by an employer as a tool at the pre-employment stage to ensure applicants suitability to work within that specific role. Our practitioners can carry out Functional Capacity Evaluations to identify:

  • Performance deficits
  • Safety issues
  • Functional abilities
  • Strengths
  • Skills
  • Capacity to perform specific work related tasks
